Dental Implants from Germany Dental

“Patients don’t want implants, they want teeth. That’s why we’re more than an implant center” – Jon Germany, DMD Mississippi Dental Implant Dentist

If you suffer from missing or failing teeth, we want you to know that there are a variety of treatment options available. Dental implants offer the best, most cost-effective, and permanent solution for missing teeth. Our dental implants are made with medical-grade titanium, which fuse with the jawbone to provide a tooth that feels completely natural. The implants we offer at our Brandon, Mississippi office provide the feel and function of natural teeth and can last a lifetime.

What are Dental Implants?

A dental implant can replace a single missing tooth with none of the disadvantages of bridges or dentures. There is no grinding or wearing down of the adjacent teeth. You will not feel the metal clasps or plastic on the roof of your mouth as with removable partial dentures. Implants are better and easier to care for in terms of hygiene and they also help prevent bone loss in the jaw.

Dental Implants consist of three parts:

1. The post is a screw made from medical-grade titanium that we insert into the jawbone. The post serves as the root to the new tooth. Medical-grade titanium will not corrode and has properties that allow it to permanently fuse with human bone.

2. The abutment holds the post and crown together, creating a connection that is strong and permanent, but removable by a doctor should you require it. The abutment reinforces the post and the crown, making them stronger than they would be alone.

3. The crown is the part of the tooth that you actually see. It is made of porcelain and is customizable to each individual. The porcelain is also very strong, providing the ability to eat even harder foods, like apples.

Dental Implant Options

Single Tooth
Dental implants are the best solution for a single missing tooth. We simply insert a medical-grade, titanium dental implant into the jawbone in the space where the missing tooth was to serve as the root for your new tooth. We attach a small post, called an abutment, to the implant. Then we cement the replacement tooth on top. This implant will look and function like a natural tooth.

When several teeth are missing, we can use dental implants in conjunction with a bridge to offer a strong, permanent and natural-feeling solution. Several teeth can be replaced with the use of only two implants. We insert the medical-grade titanium implants into the jawbone where they will fuse with the bone. When we anchor a bridge to the implants they become strong enough to support several teeth. This solution is permanent and looks, feels and functions like natural teeth. It's also less expensive than using a single implant for each missing tooth.

Why Get Dental Implants?

Missing teeth not only cause problems with aesthetics, they can also cause serious health concerns. Missing teeth can result in a loss of bone density in the supporting jaw and we don’t want our patients to go without teeth or have damaged teeth. That's why our dental implant dentist, Dr. Jon Germany, takes the time for his patients in his home state of Mississippi.

Missing teeth can have devastating effects on oral health, including leading to the loss of more teeth. Missing teeth also leave behind gaps, which can result in other teeth drifting, or moving out of place. There is also a risk of malnutrition. When teeth are lost, it becomes more difficult to chew and eat, especially raw fruits and vegetables, thus leading to malnutrition.

Dental implants can address all of these problems. They can not only fill in the gaps and allow for normal chewing function, they also prevent bone loss. Made from medical-grade titanium, the implants will actually fuse with the jawbone, stabilizing and stimulating it to maintain its density.

Stop Struggling with Partials and Dentures!

Fixed Implant Dentures
We may use implants with removable dentures to solve some of the problems that denture wearers often encounter.
Traditional upper dentures cover the palate of the mouth, significantly affecting the person’s ability to feel or taste foods. Another problem denture wearers encounter with traditional dentures is that there is no suction to hold them in place. As a result, they are constantly moving and pressing on the gums. Two fixed implants under the lower denture are all that's needed to solve this problem.
Implants improve the patient’s ability to chew by allowing them to bite harder with no discomfort. They also eliminate the need for messy adhesives.

Fixed Bridges/Partials
When there are many missing teeth, we can use removable partial dentures which are supported by implants. We may replace these teeth using a minimum number of implants, therefore lowering the cost. This method doesn’t require any of the metal clasps associated with partial dentures, thus preserving the remaining natural teeth.

Implant Dentures
The Germany Implant Bridge (GIB) is Dr. Germany’s custom dental solution, taken from the concept of the Prettau Bridge. A Prettau Bridge provides a permanent dental solution by replacing a full arch of missing teeth with an implant anchored dental bridge. This creates a natural look and feel while providing proper function once again.
The difference in GIB is in the use of high-quality Zirconia, also known as “white steel.” White Steel is as strong or stronger than most metal restorations. Because of its reliable strength, Zirconia is known for its versatility and resistance to fracturing or chipping. Along with its superior structural integrity, Zirconia gives dentists the tool to finally create a natural look and feel that is aesthetically pleasing, highly functional and permanent! This new material is truly revolutionizing dental restorations!
